How to Clean a Patio in the Arizona Heat (Without Melting)

How to clean a dusty Arizona patio without suffering in the heat. Chandler-specific tips for dust, monsoon grime, cobwebs, and timing it right.

1. Go early or go in the shade

From May to September, do patio work before 9am or after 6pm. Mid-day surface temps make it miserable and unsafe.

2. Dry-sweep before you wet anything

Arizona dust is fine and heavy. Sweep and dust everything dry first; hosing first just makes mud that bakes into a film.

3. Hit the cobwebs up high

Block walls and patio eaves are spider central. Knock down cobwebs from the corners and light fixtures before they rebuild.

4. Time it around the monsoon

Post-monsoon (July–September) is when patios get the worst dust-and-rain grime. A reset right after monsoon season keeps it usable through fall.

Bottom lineDon't want to sweat through it? A patio reset is $25–$50 in Chandler — we do the early-morning grunt work so you don't have to.
